چکیده
A retrospective review of the multicenter IPSYS CeAD (Italian project on stroke in young adults cervical artery dissection) study was performed from January 2000 to June 2019. Of 1283 patients with spontaneous dissection, mean age 48 years, 545 were women (43%), and 103 (8%) had a diagnosis coexistent cerebrovascular fibromuscular dysplasia (FMD). More FMD women. history migraine intracranial aneurysm before event associated FMD. predicted for recurrent dissection (3% patients) after median follow-up ∼3 years. The risk factor profile differs that without Migraine independent predictors recurrence.

Spontaneous hepatic artery dissection—a rare presentation of fibromuscular dysplasia
Fibromuscular dysplasia (FMD) is a rare condition that causes structural compromise of the blood vessel presenting either as an incidental radiological finding, dissection or stenosis usually of the renal or craniocervical arteries. Seldom, patients present with spontaneous dissection in visceral arteries and there are few reports of hepatic involvement. This report outlines the case of a 43-ye...

Emergent left heart catheterization was performed and did not reveal any obstructive coronary artery disease, yet the ostium of the right coronary was thought to have spasm and non-selective injection was performed without revealing any obvious abnormality. Hence, a Computerized Tomography (CT) aortography of the chest...
متن کاملSix-Vessel Spontaneous Coronary Artery Dissection and Vertebral Artery Dissection in Fibromuscular Dysplasia
Fibromuscular dysplasia is a non-inflammatory and non-atherosclerotic arteriopathy commonly affecting medium-size renal, carotid, and vertebral arteries. Involvement of the coronary artery is very rare but may cause life-threatening spontaneous dissection. Because it is rare, this disease may go unrecognized. A unique angiographic finding of non-coronary arteries can make an early diagnosis, an...
متن کاملSpontaneous coronary artery dissection in patients with fibromuscular dysplasia: a case series.
Young women with acute coronary syndrome (ACS) frequently have nonatherosclerotic coronary artery disease (NACAD) and may be misdiagnosed. Coronary fibromuscular dysplasia (CFMD) commonly is overlooked, as the angiographic appearance is often subtle. Our group previously described CFMD as a diffuse obliterative disease starting abruptly at the mid-distal vessel, involving long segments.1 Sponta...
متن کاملFibromuscular dysplasia of cervical and intracranial arteries.
Fibromuscular dysplasia is an uncommon, segmental, nonatherosclerotic arterial disease of unknown aetiology. The disease primarily affects women and involves intermediate-sized arteries in many areas of the body, including cervical and intracranial arteries. Although often asymptomatic, fibromuscular dysplasia can also be associated with spontaneous dissection, severe stenosis that compromises ...
